            Hint Expresses a purpose, followed straight by the infinitive
            para + infinitive expresses a goal when both clauses share the same subject (eu study, eu work). That's why the sentence uses "para poder trabalhar". You'd only need "para que" with a different subject, and then a conjugated verb.

            Right. In a república the rooms are private, but kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared. That's the whole point.
